Description

Malignity is a first-person Lite RPG focused on Online Coop about a group of Goblins or as experts call it: a Malignity. Explore with up to 8 players a new Procedurally Generated map for each game. Your weapons will determine your role in this Adventure. Deal damage, defend your partners, disorient the enemy or just run around and pretend to be useful, everybody has a job in the team. However be careful, Goblins are easily distracted and clumsy. The fireball will do as much or even more damage to your teammates than to your enemies. In Malignity, you will encounter funny, scary and stressful situations while exploring a colorful vibrant stylized world full of life and surprises.

History

In Summer 2023, a team called “Eager Beaver” participated in many GameJams, doing pretty well during those challenges. We came with high hopes for the last one, Working around the clock for 7 days, we shed blood and tears but we were super proud of our project, “NISM”. Our hopes went to the gutter when we saw the results 2 months later. We thought we could win some categories but we didn’t even get a special mention or feedback. This frustration brews inside us until one member said “Why don’t we work for ourselves? We are still salty from the last GameJam, let’s make our game !” Thus Semi-Salted Games was born! The name being a reference to the frustration of the game jam and to cheese, semi-salted being a term used for the length of the maturation of the cheese. Why cheese? We are Swiss.
